We celebrate the journey of Indigenous and Non-Indigenous people working together.

Valuing people and process is how we celebrate this journey.

Indigenous artists in the Blue Mountains Region work with Red Cockatoo Australia to promote and sell their artworks.

This process involves a lengthy consultation with the artists, an approval procedure and then developing information to accompany the artworks/promotion so we can share parts of these individuals stories about culture and history with you.

Product Development

Local Aboriginal Artists decide on the products and images they would like to sell and Red Cockatoo Australia with expertise in product development, promotion, sales and marketing, makes it happen.

The artists agree on a royalty payment for their images which Red Cockatoo pays directly to each artist.

Our Vision

Red Cockatoo Australia can link the general community with local Aboriginal Artists for arts workshops, commissions, murals and cultural presentations.

We also aim to provide all artists with professional development, marketing experience and assistance with business and the arts.

We aim to increase general cultural awareness of Aboriginal History within this region (and within Australia) by sharing information and stories when appropriate, working on a volunteer basis within Blue Mountains ANTaR and Get Up Blue Mountains community groups. We also work closely with the Blue Mountains Aboriginal Community assisting in promoting local events and issues.

Most importantly we aim to enthusiastically promote all Indigenous artists throughout Australia.

We invite all local Aboriginal Artists to participate if they choose to.
